Uchi Labs is a design studio run from home, where you work directly with the person actually building your brand. 家 means home, and that is the whole idea: your business gets treated like ours.
The name, and what it means
Uchi, written 家, means home. We chose it because it says everything about how we work. This is a studio run from home, not a floor of an agency, and when you hire us you talk to the maker, not an account manager standing between you and the work.
It also says something about care. Working from home means the people we build for get treated the way we would want our own to be: patiently, honestly, and with the whole thing kept human-sized.
